Ultima Hosts Worldwide Windows Hyper-V VPS Hosting

FYI, it seems one of Ultima's email servers has been blacklisted on the Spamhaus Block List in the last few days:

I have customers that host with 1and1, and 1and1 subscribes to Spamhaus, so they are not receiving any emails I send through Ultima.  I've switched to my ISP's SMTP, but that doesn't help when I'm using SmarterMail.

I've already contacted Ultima Support and they are working on getting removed from the SBL.

Hrm, wonder if it is related to the outages. Or well the cause. Good to know though.

It's possible.  That Spamhaus listing is dated 12/25/08, and the email is dated 12/23/08, which seems to be when everyone's problems started.  Maybe a virus or trojan was in the spam emails that were sent through Ultima's mail servers, and has now infected other servers.
