Hi UltimaHosts,

 

I am trying to create new files in an albums folder under www.mawhitfield.net. I am not using FTP but allowing my website to upload and place a picture in an albums directory. This is part of an extended personal starter package. Is their a restriction on my account that stops me creating new files/folders on my web space outside of FTP? I am currently geeting errors trying to do this but my offline applicaion works fine. Please advise.

Hi Mark,

   Chances are that this is because you don't have write permissions enabled on your web site, but it's hard to tell without the exact error message.  Check out https://www.ultimasupport.net/Customer/KBArticle.aspx?articleid=19 for some tips.

It occurred to me last night but your observations have confirmed it. I think I had it in my mind that I had set this flag but on checking this morning, I obviously hadn't. I have now successfully added blog entries to my front page as a result at www.mawhitfield.net. Cheers. Thanks for your help.
