    IMAP IDLE

    Hello Mark and Co...

Is IMAP IDLE enabled on the Smartermail Servers?

     Regards

     Richard

    Re: IMAP IDLE

IMAP is enabled, but IDLE is not.  At least it's not listed as a capability when I telnet into the server.  It just lists IMAP4 IMAP4rev1.

    Re: IMAP IDLE

IMAP IDLE isn't currently supported by SmarterMail but SmarterTools have listed it as a future feature.

    Cheers,

    Re: IMAP IDLE

According to their Features list for version 4.x, IMAP IDLE is supported for all levels (Free, Pro and Enterprise):

Ultima is on Enterprise version 4.3, correct?

    Re: IMAP IDLE

Great catch Will. I searched their forums but it didn't seem to be included. Turns out they have added it. I have enabled IMAP IDE now so let me know how you go.

    Cheers,

    Re: IMAP IDLE

Yeah, I saw the same thing when I searched their forums...that it might be included in a future release.  So I figured I'd check the features list, and voila!

I just telnet'd to my mail server and the IDLE command was accepted, so it looks like it's at least enabled.
