    Questions about Reseller 10 (Professional.NET)

    Hello!

I'm looking for a hosting and think Professional.NET is for me. I have questions about some small parameters...

Does the database support Unicodes? (I know that it is MS SQL 2005, but please answer...)

What is limit of database size?

How can I get additional storage space? (Prices?)

Does the plan you support php? (It's not mentioned, but...)

    Thank you in advance

    Andrew

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

Professional.Net is the plan I am using so here we go :)

Unicode: Unsure, is there someway I can find this out for you?

Database Size limit: The space your database takes up is counted as part of your Accounts space limit.  So with Professional.Net you have 5GB total space.  If your Web Site uses up say 1GB then your SQL limit is 4GB. To get additional storage its the same as with the web site overall: $100 for 1GB per year (a little less then $10/Month)

It does support PHP. I am running phpBB using a MSSQL Database, and the application installer will help you install it with a MySQL database. To enable PHP you use the DotNet Panel.

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

    One more question...

What is the difference between Professional.NET and Resseler 10? (Except bandwidth, space, number of domains)

I'm looking for the plan like  Professional.NET, but it has not much space and 100$ a year for 1Gb is too much...

    Thank you in advance

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

Reseller 10 gives you reseller rights so you can create private control panel logins for clients and also allows you to brand your nameservers and setup private label hosting. Also allows you to create custom plans which you can in turn sell.

    Cheers,

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

    Thank you!

I don't want to resell. I want to use it as a Professional.NET plan just with more space. Are there any options available in Professional.NET and not available in Reseller 10?

Thank you again. Hope this is the last question=)

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

    Hello Andrew,

Apart from the reseller and branding options the plans have the same features. Reseller 10 also comes with an SSL + IP.

    Cheers,

    Mark

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

    Again I got one question...

Can I use php? And is there MySQL? I need only two bases  for max 30 Mb. Now I have two sites on different hostings and I think I can host them together... But php+MySQL is not priority.

I know, Ragnoric said "It does support PHP. I am running phpBB using a MSSQL Database, and the application installer will help you install it with a MySQL database. To enable PHP you use the DotNet Panel."

But I don't see it in the plan description and he is not official=)

    Thank you

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

Here is a list of the supported technologies for EU:  http://www.ultimahosts.eu/products/features/web.aspx

PHP and MySQL aren't listed, but I would imagine they are supported.

You could just sign up for a free trial to find out, or email sales at sales@ultimahosts.eu

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

I have signed for trial but I don't see MySQL in CP... In Databases I see only "SQL Server 2005". php I haven't tested... But I would like to be confident... Ok, I'll write to sales.

    Thanks

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

If MySQL isn't listed as an option under databases then I'd say it's not supported, and neither is PHP.  Bummer.

Is your target audience in Europe?  If not, just sign up for an account with Ultima USA.

    Re: Questions about Professional.NET

For Ultima Hosts EU (London based servers) we are not supporting PHP/MySQL at this stage. If you need these features you will need to sign up for a plan under the Ultima Hosts USA site (USA based servers).
