oooshola: I have a couple of questions about LINQ (specifically DLINQ).
1) What version of Visual Studio, and the .NET framework, do I need to write and run LINQ?
2) Does Ultima support LINQ? I think, but I'm not sure, that LINQ requires .NET 3.0 or 3.5, but my freedom.net account does not allow me to select either of those versions of .NET. There are only the 1.1 and 2.0 options.
Thanks!
In VS you should be able to switch to .Net 3.0, as the 1.1 or 2.0 distinction is for ASP.NET, while VS controls the .NET version. Its somewhere but I can't remember where. You are looking for FRAMEWORK Version not ASP.NET version.
I switched over one of my Web Sites to 3.0 without issue (although its a lameish site ATM), but didn't try 3.5 (which I think is the required version for LINQ support)
(Note: I switched to 3.0 on a plan that has support for .Net 3.0 IE the Professional.Net package)
