    CHMOD

How do I edit the CHMOD numbers for my pages? I keep getting errors.

    Thanks

    Re: CHMOD

CHMOD is a Unix command and is not supported on Ultima's servers (Windows 2003).

However, to change the read/write permissions of folders, login to your DNP Control Panel and go to the File Manager.  Navigate to the directory that contains the folder you wish to change permissions for and you'll see a lock icon next to each folder.  Click that lock and you can change the permissions for that folder.

    Re: CHMOD

Slight correction....if you are trying to change the permissions that your web site has on folders (for example allowing WRITE access to an Uploads folder), then my post above is correct.

If you have an FTP user account and it has read-only permission on a folder and it needs write access, login to the DNP Control Panel and go to FTP Accounts.  Select the user and then check the box for WRITE access.

    Re: CHMOD

By default, the site will have Execute permission.  However, Execute is different than WRITE permission.  As a matter of fact, I don't see anywhere in the DNP Control Panel where you can remove Execute permission.

Is your site not working?  If so, what error are you getting?
