I have done the Smarterstats 3x set up and download, tried logging from the desktop icon as suggested which gives me… Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:9999.

Also tried a number of other options mentioned in their help directory including…

http://127.0.0.1:9999/Login.aspx
http://127.0.0.1

But still getting… Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at…(wherever)

Have also gone to the URL http://stats.mydomain.com.ultimahosts.eu and tried to log on as System Admin (admin, admin, admin in the required fields) and got…

Username not found with the password and site ID that was provided

Any pointers please.

First, try using Internet Explorer.  I have nothing against Firefox, but at least give IE a try and see if that makes a difference.

Also, try just http://stats.mydomain.com  (drop the ultimahosts.eu).

When logging in, your Site ID is your domain (e.g. mydomain.com).  The Username and Password is whatever you created in SmarterStats for that domain.
