    Google Mail

I just moved my domain over...

We are using Google Apps for email. I have deleted all MX records from my DNS zones and inserted the Google Mail ones. I also deleted the TXT record. Now I cannot recieve message although I can send through Google.

    Any Ideas?

Without more info (like actual screenshots or outputs) cant really help - but I know that the DNS changes will take some time to take effect. Could put in a support request ?

I don't know if this was resolved, but I ran into a similar issue. Is a TXT record required and if so, what should the value be?

    Re: Google Mail

I've never heard of a TXT record.  DNS changes take 24-48 hours to take effect.

    Re: Google Mail

There's a TXT record there when a domain is set up on the VPS. I don't believe it's required, but I'm really concerned because for the last few days we've received nearly NO email to that domain and we have accounts that get 200-500 messages per day. I did an MX record lookup and it says there's no MX record found despite me entering several. I sent a message to support yesterday but I'm still waiting.

Best if Support looks into it.  I never mess with DNS records other than changing my Name Servers.

    Re: Google Mail

The issue was due to the MX record being entered incorrectly. You don't need to specify the name only the value. It should work fine as we have a lot of clients using google mail etc with our DNS service.

Yes, this did work and was certainly my doing. Thanks for clearing this up!
