I would like to see more domains allowed/included in each plan, or the cost for additional domains to be more reasonable (currently about $30/yr each). Ultima is the first host I have ever seen that limits the number of domains that can be hosted. Of course Ultima is also one of the few that allow unlimited SQL databases (which is good)!
I thought every host limited the number of domains you can host. Isn't Ultima about the only host that actually allows unlimited domains on some plans?
1and1 offers Unlimited domains (if those domains are registered through them), and 20-200 "external" domains (depending on plan...the most expensive of which is $19.99/mo).
EDTHosting doesn't seem to indicate a limit at all so I'd assume they are also unlimited.
Brinkster offers anywhere from 50-200 domains (regardless of registrar) on their plans and their most expensive plan is $17.95/mo.
WebHost4Life offers unlimited domains even on their cheapest plan ($4.95/mo).
I know 1and1 is accurate as I used to host with them (their Support sucks by the way!). I had 7 or 8 different domains with their own wwwroot. The plan I was on allowed up to 100 external domains, so I had over 90 left I could use.
What about offering "packs" of domains at a discount? Instead of $30/yr per domain, what about a pack of 5 domains for $100/yr?
My main motivation for bringing this up is that I'm starting to get my customers on my hosting plan and I only have 1 free domain left. I've got at least 5 or 6 more customer domains to add.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with my hosting.....just putting a little something in the suggestion box.
Here is an excerpt from 1and1's hosting plan chart:
This is from Brinkster, although after reading it they might be the same as WH4L. I have a customer that is still on Brinkster...I'll check their Control Panel to see if it will allow true hosting or just parking.
Ok lets clear a few things up. All of these plans are not reseller ones (ie you can't create a separate login for your clients and cannot basically then resell them)
itechcs:1and1 offers Unlimited domains (if those domains are registered through them), and 20-200 "external" domains (depending on plan...the most expensive of which is $19.99/mo).
This isn't unlimited domains but 5 domains:

itechcs:EDTHosting doesn't seem to indicate a limit at all so I'd assume they are also unlimited.
I assume this $13 / month plan is for a single domain but doesn't come with any SQL 2005 space:

itechcs: Brinkster offers anywhere from 50-200 domains (regardless of registrar) on their plans and their most expensive plan is $17.95/mo.
Once again they let you point a domain at your site (wow) but not actually create separate domains. 400 GB of space for what? and only 50 MB of SQL space - ask how much for extra space. And once again no reselling component.

itechcs: WebHost4Life offers unlimited domains even on their cheapest plan ($4.95/mo).
This plan does not come with .Net 2.0 or reseller component or multiple domains.
If you can find anything that comes close to what we offer at Ultima I guarantee we will match it.
Cheers,
Mark
Sorry correction on the 1and1 plans. It is for 200 domains but only 2 SQL databases. I can certainly create a plan which matches this one.
Your best bet here if you want more domains is to buy another reseller plan which will give you space as well as domains.
Yeah, 1and1's "5 included domains" is actually 5 free domain registrations (i.e. I get 5 free domain names registered in my name as long as I keep my hosting with them).
I agree, none of them are "reseller" friendly, which is why I used to host with 3 of them and now no longer do. :-)
I currently have the Success.Net plan, which seems to have the most amount of space of all of the shared plans. If you had another version of that plan that had unlimited domains....that would be perfect. Or as I mentioned before....packs of domains.
So basically an Unlimited.Net plan with 10+ GB of space? It exists:

If you want to add domains to your existing reseller plan we can do this also. Just let me work out the figures :).
Yeah, I was looking into the VPS....just not quite ready to triple my hosting expenses. :-p
5 Extra domains $110 USD:

5 for $110...sounds like a pretty good deal, thanks! Once I get a commitment from my client, I'll buy.
The link for the other upgrade options is the same as the first (paypal)...?

Hello,
I recently compiled a comparative of hosting provider, specifically for DotNetNuke. But you will find in this PDF compilation the #domain for some provider...Hosting provider comparative.
