How do I set up my external dns service to point to my ultima hosted web site

    Hi

I am having trouble setting my DNS service provider to point to my web site hosted at ultima. How do I do that. What do I have to do in DNP, what do I have to enter at my DNS service provider?

During development I have used a temporary subdomain: myudomain.ultimahosts.net but now I am ready to switch over my ordinary domain to point to the ultima hosted site.

I want to continue using the DNS servers at my DNS provider, not ultimas DNS servers.

    Very grateful for any help!

OK it is working now. This is what I did:

I added the new domain under Domains.

I removed each of the DNS Zone records that were automatically added. That there were DNS zone records added automatically was what confused me, but simply deleting them one by one seem to have done the trick.

I added a web site pointer for the new domain under Web sites.

I added an A record at my DNS service provider pointing at the IP displayed in brackets after my web site name under Web Sites

Was this the correct procedure? It seems to have worked.
