I was wondering if it is possible for us to load Windows Sharepoint Services v3.0 on our Virtual Server through our Ultima hosting account. I know that Sharepoint v2.0 comes standard, but we need to use some of the new features in v3.0 (such as Forms Based Authentication). We already run v3.0 in-house and are familiar with the installation procedure...just wondering if any problem installing and using on our Ultima hosted account.

Hi Scott,

There is no problem installing WSS 3.0 on your VPS but currently Dot Net Panel does not support this so any sites that you setup would have to be done directly on IIS. The team at DNP have said that they are going to integrate WSS 3.0 in the near future and at the rate these guys develop new features we should see WSS integration within the next month or two.
